Blanes stands out for being the first city on the Costa Brava, which it’s known as “the portal of the Costa Brava”. Blanes has historical monuments, a great variety of restaurants, beaches, and coves that will leave you speechless.

One of the most emblematic and well-known monuments of this is the Castle of Sant Joan, from where you will have the chance to enjoy privileged views. Another of the historical monuments that you can visit is the Parish Church, which was previously known as the Vizcondal Palace, a Gothic palace that is a must-see if we walk through the streets of this cozy city. The convent is another of the most illustrious buildings, dated in 1583, it’s considered one of the most privileged places on the Costa Brava and has been declared of monumental and scenic interest.

Cala Bona, Cala Treumal, Blanes beach, or Sa Palomera, are some of the essential pieces that help shape the beauty of Blanes. We are again in August, one of the hottest months of the year, but we also have the opportunity to enjoy the Costa Brava in a unique and different way. Today we want to propose some of the water activities that you can do to enjoy a fascinating summer.

Some many beaches and coves comfort it and are very close to our villas. You can find Cala Treumal, located in Lloret de Mar, or Cala Sant Francesc located a few kilometers from Blanes, among others. Thanks to the great variety of vegetation that surrounds these natural paradises, they are the most suitable places to practice activities such as snorkeling, a very popular and cheap activity among bathers in the area. All you will need are diving glasses, a snorkel tube, and go into the sea.

Another alternative to snorkeling is scuba diving, which is a bit more expensive compared to the previous one, but which allow you to discover what is hidden in the depths of the Mediterranean.

For those who don’t prefer to see everything from the surface, they can try alternatives such as kayaking, an activity that can also be enjoyed as a couple with the double kayaks. Pedal skates, are highly recommended for family or paddle surfing, which is based on riding on a surfboard and rowing with the help of a paddle.

All those who prefer a bit of adrenaline can chose jet ski rental or flyboarding, where you can have the sensation of flying thanks to the propulsion of water that comes out of the board where your feet are placed.
