This Easter come and discover the treasures hidden in the Costa Brava!

19 March 2022

After two very complicated years due to the pandemic generated by the Covid-19, it seems that little by little, normality is coming!

That is why this year we invite you to come and enjoy the best of the Costa Brava in one of our magnificent villas.

Easter vacations are synonymous of time for you, time to do everything we have not been able to do in the last two years. Time to dive, time to enjoy the camins de ronda, time to taste the best dishes, time to visit museums… in short, time to live unforgettable moments with family or friends!

Today we want to propose a series of recommendations to make the most of these days of celebration!

The first stop will be in Valls. On Holy Thursday, Verges is an obligatory stop because they represent one of the classics of Easter: the procession! You will have to go very early, because from 7 am the village is filled with hundreds of people who want to see this unique spectacle that represents the life and death of Jesus Christ and you can no longer circulate.

In addition, you will have to stay until the evening, because you cannot leave this town without seeing the ancient Dance of Death with skeletons dancing reminding us that our time will come.

The second unmissable stop are the camins de ronda. Walking along them you can admire the fascinating landscape of the Costa Brava. The most outstanding are the sections that pass through Llafranc and Calella to Palamós or those that start from the coves of Sant Antoni de Calonge and reach Playa de Aro.

The third stop is the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, located at the port of La Selva. It is a monastic complex of large dimensions, formed by the church (Romanesque style), the cloister and the various monastic outbuildings arranged around it. The first documentation of the existence of the monastery dates from the year 878.

The last stop is the Dalí Museum, which needs no introduction, it is the last great work of Salvador Dalí. In fact, it was conceived and designed by the artist with the aim of offering visitors an authentic experience inviting them to enter his surreal and particular world.

So now you know, this Easter do not hesitate and come and enjoy unforgettable days in one of our magnificent villas located in the heart of the Costa Brava!

You can also find handmade products, zero kilometer products, toys for the little ones, decorative details …

Finally, and what matters most during these dates, is to enjoy the family, therefore, our villas are ready to receive you. They also have a capacity for up to 16 people. Blanes and its charm

19 October 2021

The month of October has arrived, and for many, it is still synonymous with holidays. Today we want to talk about one of the cities in which some of our villas are located, this city is Blanes.

Blanes stands out for being the first city on the Costa Brava, which it’s known as “the portal of the Costa Brava”. Blanes has historical monuments, a great variety of restaurants, beaches, and coves that will leave you speechless.

One of the most emblematic and well-known monuments of this is the Castle of Sant Joan, from where you will have the chance to enjoy privileged views. Another of the historical monuments that you can visit is the Parish Church, which was previously known as the Vizcondal Palace, a Gothic palace that is a must-see if we walk through the streets of this cozy city. The convent is another of the most illustrious buildings, dated in 1583, it’s considered one of the most privileged places on the Costa Brava and has been declared of monumental and scenic interest.

Cala Bona, Cala Treumal, Blanes beach, or Sa Palomera, are some of the essential pieces that help shape the beauty of Blanes. Although we are in October, and the weather is not good, they are still one of the most beautiful and relaxing places to walk. In addition, some of our villas have direct views of these coves.

The fauna and flora are one of the most highlighted components of the Costa Brava, and Blanes is full of places where they can be enjoyed. One of them is the Marimurtra Botanical Garden or the Pinya de Rosa Tropical Garden, where you can learn and observe a large number of different species. The Delta de la Tordera is another natural space where you will discover the great variety of birds that inhabit this area.

As you have seen, Blanes has everything you need to spend an unforgettable holiday, even so, you can also find our villas in other towns and cities that have their beauty such as Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Calella, Mataró … If you need more information you just have to contact us!

The Costa Brava and part of its history

30 September 2021

We are lucky to find ourselves in one of the most beautiful locations in our country. The Costa Brava is much more than beaches, it is also culture, so today we are going to make a most playful recommendation so that you can expand your knowledge and learn a little more about the past of some of the towns that make it up.

The Castle of Sant Joan is one of our recommendations, its history begins in the middle of the 13th century, when it was used to monitor the intrusions of pirates who sailed in its surroundings and thus offer the population of Blanes some security. Currently, it is one of the preferred locations for the panoramic views it offers. Some of the villas that you can find near this castle are Villa Alta Vista, Beau Soleil, Las Brisas, Cristina, Blue Bay among others.

In Lloret de Mar, you can find the Sant Pere del Bosc monastery, another of the most emblematic corners of the Costa Brava. Originally from the 10th century and used as a Benedictine monastery until the end of the 17th century, when it was burned down by the French. Even so, it continues to preserve part of its beauty and is one of the must-sees for those tourists who visit this town. It also has different villas where you can stay, such as Villa Eden, Villa Infinity or Villa Porto Pi.

La Catedral de Girona is another of the iconic monuments that can be visited, it was built during the 11th and 18th centuries with Gothic and Baroque aspects. In addition, all those lovers of the Game of Thrones series will have the possibility of being in one of the settings where the series was recorded.

As you have seen, there are many ways and places to enjoy the Costa Brava culturally and with different villas near these locations. All you have to do is pack your suitcase and go on an adventure to discover part of the origins of these towns.

As you have seen, there is always a new way to discover the beaches that surround the Costa Brava, the only thing you have to do now is book your holidays in your favourite villa and plan what activities you prefer to do!
